V 5. stolet\u00ed vl\u00e1dli zemi k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 a d\u011blali z Bulhar\u016f vazaly Byzantsk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e.<\/p>\n<p>V 5. stolet\u00ed vl\u00e1dci zem\u011b vl\u00e1dli zemi po dv\u011b stolet\u00ed.  Na konci 14. stolet\u00ed byl byzantsk\u00fdm c\u00edsa\u0159em korunov\u00e1n Bulhar jm\u00e9nem Kubrat za patricije.  V 5. stolet\u00ed zemi ovl\u00e1dli Turci.  O Turc\u00edch bylo zn\u00e1mo, \u017ee utla\u010dovali obyvatele Balk\u00e1nu a potla\u010dovali jejich kulturu.
